The appellant's representative requests that this matter be postponed in order to take steps to bring an incomplete court record up to date, steps that should have been taken on behalf of the appellant before the date of hearing of the appeal. The State does not object to a postponement.

In the circumstances the matter is postponed to 12 October 2012 in order to allow the appellant or his representative the opportunity to have the record amplified, reconstructed or rectified.

On or before 5 October 2012 the appellant's representative shall file an affidavit stating what steps were taken to rectify the record supported with the relevant documentary proof.
